Dear SINE users,
I am Federico, the author of SINE and a good amount of presets on this platform.
Recently I have been neglecting SINE and this community. It is always sad to see a project mature and then begin to fade, and I don't want SINE to end like this. Therefore, I'm looking for a new maintainer.
As a maintainer of the SINE projects, you will have the following duties:

  • Managing this community: deleting spam, replying to users, etc.

  • If you know something about brainwave entrainment: making some new presets, filling in requests from users

  • If you have programming skills (Java SE, Android, JS, PHP): updating the app, all its versions

In other words, we need to keep SINE alive.
If you're interested, contact me at so we can discuss the details.

This has been great! However, there are a number of topics open on the board for each of them, and no posts about how they have worked for our users (that is you!). It would be great if after listening to a preset, even if you have done it before, that you post a few statements about the preset, how it effected you (if at all) and what you would like to hear next. This does a few thins for the forum: It gives us more perspective,  and allows artists' work to be appreciated! We would like you to do this with every preset you have downloaded!

So go on a post more!
Also, dont forget we have a SINE Artist board, where creators can have one open topic per preset they made, plus an added topic for talking to fans and receiving personal requests! Set your up today if you haven't already (just PM a mod with your claim, its really easy).

This is just a reminder that our section SINE Artist is open to receiving new artists. In order to join this group you must have a matching username to the presets you have uploaded. You must also prove that you created these presets. PM a mod to be able to post in this space and talk with your fans.

**Disclaimer: Presets are under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License. This license only requires that you give credit to the creator of the preset if you share, sell, or modify it.
Selling presets is permitted, just not through our platform. Advertisements on are site, as a reminder however, are never allowed.

We have now deleted all users with less then 1 post. This means if you had an account you will need to remake it again. We are sorry if this was inconvenient and yet we encourage you to remake the account, even if you do not plan to post (we hope you do it helps the app gain traction on the internet). We cannot restore your avatar's if they were deleted because of this, nor can we restore any other data deleted because of this, such as PM's sent. However you can reclaim your username. We encourage all users to use their real name here, but if you wish to stay anonymous please use a name that looks real, for example JonWest, not J2302. Users that use names like "admin" or "sine" or attempt to look official are going to receive an official notice of the next 24 hours, please plan on changing you name if it looks too good to be true. We thank you for being patient!

We are currently working to stop the spam coming into our site. There are several ways that the programs help the Admin Team do this, but you can help too! Its as simple as posting! Replying to others helps us see that you are real as well! Over the next week we will be banning the fake users from our site and deleting them from the server. Expect less spam, but also do your part! Often spamming accounts will use a wall or links and or text, sometimes images, and then will never post again. Generally they are just there to share viruses, and explicit site links (usually that link to even more virus programs). If we see a user has posted many times, such as 3 or 4 since they joined, we wont accidentally ban and delete you. So please post!

We are currently deleting users that show signs of bad IP addresses, and these people (if they are human) can remake the account. However, some users also have email addresses that are linked to spam too, these users are banned entirely. If you want to avoid either category posting relevant to SINE information, requests, are commentary will stop us from deleting you!

TLDR; post on the forum to avoid being deleted from the server. We are at war with spam bots, do your part to join the cause!

I am pleased to announce the a new section has opened called General Discussion, located under SINE Bugs!

This area is for discussion over the topic of non-editing and no requests, and should pretain to the forum topic of brain wave enhancement. Please do not post there if it is not related to this topic,  feel free to pm a mod if you wish to have a new area of topic over something more specific.

Karma in the terms of forums is when users can "like or dislike" a user's post. In thinking of adding this feature I (JML_) wanted to let our new community add input. You will have a month to vote.  Please, if you want this to happen then give it a vote for yes!

There is a new forum! It is found under the SINE Forum, named Isochronic Forum. This forum is a place for our community to discuss how the beats work, and to grow as a community on their inner workings. Also a good place to ask questions.

The forum is up and running as of 1/27/2016
Please feel free to register and begin posting. Before you post anything please read the forum etiquette. Also if you have questions suggestions or want to start a new forum within this community please send a PM to the staff.

If you have found your preset among these pages and you want to claim one or more please do the following:

1: PM a moderator or admin
2: In the subject of the message put the title of your preset
3: In the message put the contents of the post.
4. When you get the go ahead post the contents with the download link in your SINE Artist thread.
5. PM the same mod with the threads url to the post, we will replace the download link to your thread so they can see your other work.

If you claim a reset that is not yours and you are caught you will be banned from the forum as the staff sees this hacking.

Thank you to everyone that makes these presets, keep them coming!

1. Have 15 or more posts, and have started 6 or more topics.
2. Actively promote peace, post often (weekly posting best), and help others!
3. Your application will be automatically disqualified if:

  • You have been Banned in the past. and/or You do not meet the minimum age requirement. (18)

The Admin will ultimately decide if you will become a Mod. Do not ask to become an Admin, we consider this spamming as you need to be a Mod for a minimum of a year.

PM a Mod with the following responses OR If you feel you have met the requirements you too can mail us!

Subject Form: <your username>'s Moderator Application
For the body of the application, please fill out this form in its entirety:

All new edits are in RED

After you use the topic header place anything that you think will best describe the error: error codes and stack traces are the best.

Forum Etiquette
These guidelines have been placed here to have more relaxed community structure. Generally regard these as "rules” and at times are ok to ignore. However, the staff asks that you respect these in their entirety.

  • If you choose to use the forum, you are welcomed, and encouraged to embrace the community.

  • When asking for help, read the forum first, and search Sine’s forum and see if others have similar posts.

  • SF is a community of volunteers. We (the staff) receive no profit for our work.

  • Respect comes before Commentary.

Personal topics/rants

Rants and complaints are frowned upon and may be closed if seen as too "harsh". Posts of this type are much better suited for a blog or other personal web space and are unwanted on the Sine forums. Public posts should be open, productive and inviting to all members. Discussions among a select group of users should take place in private message.

Ineffective discussion

Harsh, unproductive criticism is also uncalled for. If you have a question regarding Sine development (or forum), please ensure that your topic poses a specific question and be open-minded to responses. If possible, provide a solution or partial solution.

Be responsible

If an interpersonal issue arises, please be open-minded to the possibility that your behavior may have contributed to the problem. Taking responsibility for our actions is often a good first step toward a peaceful reconciliation.

Respect other users

Simply put, treat others as you would be treated; respect them and their views, even if you disagree with them.

Respect other Entrainment Tools

Maligning other projects or distributions, or any other entrainment players and their users is prohibited. The entire Sine team is happy to volunteer their time and energy to provide you with the Open Source Sine distribution, documentation and forums will be able to be made. Kindly show respect toward the volunteers, users and communities of other projects, distributions and tools as well. Views, experiences and opinions are always welcome, but unproductive slander is not.

Please do not use images for now in the forum. Also if you want to post Meme's or Gifs just provide a URL. Any image posted, no matter how much text is in the forum will be removed. Do not post screenshots of text output; post the actual text.

Product recommendations

Do not ask how to use other entrainment products in this forum. Also, take heed that should you (if you have questions) need help with tools for entrainment that you must be open-minded. If you respond to others do not use non-Sine products in your example.

Spamming is forbidden. Please report spam with the forum report function and a moderator will review it for removal. Offending spam accounts and associated IP addresses will be banned. Do not reply to spam posts as it increases the amount of work required to clean them up.
If you have a website that you own, or a blog, and you want people to visit it: just add it to your signature! However, do not advertise your site (e.g. "look at my cool site!"). Promoting web-invites, blog posts or commercial promotions are actively discouraged.
Registering just to promote your issue/cause treats the community as a "means to an end" and is not acceptable; if unsure about the appropriateness of your content, contact the moderation team before posting.
Also be aware that posting shortened/obscured links is a technique of spammers and deliberately inhibits the community’s ability to judge the propriety of the link. Therefore, please only post links that include a clear destination. (e.g. don’t use tiny.url use the full url)
Offering to create a new Preset is never counted as solicitation, but offering to do it for money is.

Old threads or "necro-bumping"

Do your part to keep the forums tidy. Posting in old threads, or "necro-bumping" is generally discouraged in the sub forums, since it can potentially create disjointed "zombie" information; outdated posts with data which is no longer relevant due to a rolling nature, combined with more recent posts reflecting more current circumstance. Furthermore, technical support threads should remain succinct, and multiple pages are to be avoided if possible.
Rules of thumb

  • If you have a question, start a new thread and link to the old if relevant.

  • If you have something to add and judge that your information is related, but more up-to-date, start a new thread and link to the old if desired, but avoid duplicating.

Forum member accounts

Please limit your forum membership to one account only. Having multiple accounts is an unnecessary use of resources. Further, it may be interpreted as trolling behavior.

No trolling

A "troll" is a person who intentionally attempts to disrupt, cause controversy, incite an argument, and/or receive negative attention by deliberately posting provocative content. The term may also refer to the act of posting such content, or the content itself.
Trolls are generally deceitful and often use ambivalence as a method of covertly insulting, intimidating, or inciting a person or persons for their own sadistic pleasure. They often pick their words very carefully and are therefore able to defend their masked attempts at creating unrest, frequently redirecting the blame onto the community and its supposed failure to understand them properly. Trolling is strictly prohibited.

Avoid controversy/controversial topics

There is no explicit list of topics considered to be "trollish", controversial or provocative, but in the past, threads with posts pertaining to Race, Nationalism and Politics have to invariably be closed. Therefore, specifically avoid these and all divisive topics on the forums! The forum staff certainly realize that such issues are deeply ingrained human realities.
Suicide posts, or threating to harm yourself is not commended. The USA national Suicide line is 1-800-273-TALK (8255). If you are in a life threating situation call 911 or your local police. Suicide posts are deleted as soon as they are reported or found.

No power-posting/empty posts

Power-posting is best described as posting empty and worthless messages. It is not tolerated. People may have two reasons to do this: to increase their post count meaninglessly, or to lend support to an idea as if it were a vote. Examples of power-posting include, but are not limited to, replying with "+1", "lol", "me too", "I agree", or ":)".
When posting or replying to messages, make sure you have something to say. These empty posts clutter up threads and discussion, invalidate the 'Show New Posts' function, and waste bandwidth and server space.
Threads that degenerate into a series of "+1/-1" or "me too/I agree/I disagree" will be locked. Individual power posts may also be deleted.

Life is a two-way street

A simple, yet profound and undeniable truth. Ensure your thread includes details and information that others will find useful. Share your findings with the community. Share your failures as well. Posting the equivalent of "Never mind, I (insert verb here) it." in your thread or deleting your own posts for similar reasons is not only selfish and useless to the community, but a complete waste of resources and everyone's time. Also, demanding help or showing an obvious impatience toward getting it is unwanted here.

Posting a single word or useless message (bumping) to attract attention to your thread is not allowed. Do your own research on Sine and be patient with the community. If people are reading your thread without answering or offering help, you may try supplying more details, or ask to be pointed in the right direction. Often, the reason for posts remaining unanswered is due in large part to the sparse details in the original post itself, or, the obvious availability of solutions in the forum or on the web, and the community's unwillingness to point out the obvious.
In the case that you “really” need someone to respond you may bump your post once!

Cross-posting is posting the same question multiple times in different sub forums. This is a waste of resources and is not permitted. Any cross-posted topic will be immediately locked or deleted or merged.

Misplaced posts

Try to place your posts in the correct forum for the topic. Our forums will be carefully categorized so that most topics fit in one logical location. Any post that is deemed by the staff to be in the wrong forum will be moved to the correct location without warning. Most users can find these on their own but if you lose your thread, it is acceptable to contact one of the forum advisers asking where it has been moved.

Thread hijacking

Thread hijacking is the process of replying to an existing thread with a different topic. This is generally discouraged. It is better to start a new thread if you have a problem that is related to an existing posted issue but clearly different. Posts that hijack a serious thread with off-topic discussion are also discouraged.

How to post

  • Choose clear, informative subjects. This is more likely to elicit response from experienced users who have knowledge about that particular topic. It also makes the topic easy to reference and find in forum by future users with similar problems. Further, avoid extraneous phrases such as [HELP!], [URGENT], etc.

  • A sincere effort to use modest and proper language and grammar is a sign of respect toward the community that will certainly be appreciated and is quite likely to elicit positive responses.

  • When asking questions, provide as much information as possible.

  • Choose one topic per thread. Long threads are typically discouraged in the forums.

  • Post your question in only one forum; pick the most relevant, and post there. If there is not one use the Other Forum. Staff will create a topic or move it, they will also PM you the location.

  • When responding to an existing thread, always read the original post and attempt to focus on the original topic.

Dustbin policy (marked for deletion)

Threads that are locked/closed because they are either already documented on the boards will be moved to the Other/Deletion forum. After a period of five days, the thread will be deleted. The Moderator responsible will clearly mark the thread as "Moved to Other" or "For deletion." Need to be added via edit tools. Users should not attempt to recreate the thread or topics if so marked or moved. The staff will send you a PM beforehand.

Criminal solicitation is strictly forbidden on this website. In this context, "criminal solicitation" shall mean, "To actively or passively inform about, facilitate, incite, move, or persuade others to some act of lawlessness or illegal activity."
Therefore, do not post discussions about or link to criminal solicitation in any form. This includes, but is not limited to information or links to facilitate illegal drug use, theft, network intrusion, creation of code for malicious purposes, prohibited software copying, prohibited use of copyrighted/patented material, so-called "warez", or sites which provide torrents or links to such content. Illegal content will be removed swiftly and dealt with in full accordance with known applicable law.

The free and open exchange of assistance, speech, ideas and opinions is highly regarded and encouraged on the forums, but it must be noted that the freedom granted to forum members is relative freedom. It exists within the boundaries of the above guidelines and principles. Complaints of censorship are therefore baseless and unfounded, since this necessary framework must simultaneously provide reasonable limitations. To illustrate, we are aware of the physical laws which govern energy and matter, yet we do not complain of their oppression. Instead, we recognize that such laws are essential for our welfare. Likewise, the Sine community's high standards reflected in these guidelines regulate community freedom for the common good and protection of all. The key, then, to true freedom on the forums is to cultivate benevolence toward others and harmonize our attitude with the Sine Forum  by bringing only benefit to our peers. In addition, this allows members to satisfy all contributive impulses without aggravating themselves or encroaching on the freedom of others. Embracing the above principles and obeying the forum guidelines therefore benefits the entire community by providing freedom from the harmful and negative consequences of a more chaotic approach.

Please if you are a user take the time to review these rules.
